Position : Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Sector : Manufacturing/Engineering
Location : Sheffield
Salary : Negotiable
Shifts: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 and 07:30 to 12:30
Reports to : Production Manager
This is an opportunity to join an innovative manufacturing business where you will be able to make a real contribution from day one. The incumbent will be expected to perform general maintenance duties through. This is a stand-alone role, so the candidate needs to be multi-skilled with both mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repairs.
Main duties:
Develop and implement TPM system on various Machines, tools and equipment to ensure availability, OEE targets and safe operating condition.
Troubleshoot and correct any mechanical/electrical breakdown issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsible for the recording of all work undertaken, analysis and key spares stock
To carry out or organise general repairs and routine property / plant maintenance.
Support Lean Manufacturing improvements in all areas
Key holder with locking/un-locking duties to the Sheffield site.
Responsible for all H&S compliance within their area of control.
Member of H&S / fire teams
About you:
Recognised engineering apprenticeship and ONC (or equivalent) in electrical/mechanical engineering
16th/17th/18th edition wiring regulations
Demonstrate a good understanding of all aspects of mechanical/electrical maintenance.
Good problem-solving judgement and decision-making skills.
Experience doing both preventative (TPM) and reactive maintenance
Competence to review existing SOP'S and develop new ones.
Experienced in carrying out Risk Assessments and utilising SSW's.
Willingness and capability to learn develop and adapt
