Based in Boston
Shift available: days, continental shift (12 hours)
Rate: GBP10.75/hr - GBP13.44/hr (OT rate)
Paid Weekly (Thursday)

Package DescriptionYou may not have heard of us, but we're sure you've tried our products because we supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK.
Here in Boston we employ around 800 colleagues and produce ready to eat salads, prepared vegetables and snacks for many of the major retailers such as Coop, Boots, Greggs, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Costco, Spar, Itsu and BOL.
Main ResponsibilitiesDue to development and growth, Greencore Boston are looking to recruit a variety of skilled positions to work in our Production department on day shift. If successful you would be streamlined into one of the following areas: Prep, Mixing, Assembly or Packing. However, you may be asked to work in additional areas to suit the needs of the business.
As a Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring due diligence is followed throughout the production process. You will have a right first-time approach. As part of your role, you will be ensuring the team are working to their maximum potential as well as ensuring that the machinery is working consistently and correctly. You will be responsible for monitoring production to help attain KPIs for productivity and efficiency.
The skilled positions we have include:
• Line leaders
• Paperwork Controllers
• Machine Operatives
• Mixing Operatives
• Spice Room Operatives
All of the roles involve working in a fast past, chilled environment in a company that puts people at the core. The site operates 24/7 and you will be required to work on a shift basis including the requirement to work weekends.
The Ideal Candidate
Good level of English & Math - you will be counting picks and products, alongside managing remaining stock.
Ability to work under pressure in a cold store environment - you will be picking orders for some of the UK's well-known retailers, ensuring that the correct order goes out on time in full.
Attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
Right first-time approach.
Excellent communication skills - you will be working as part of a team, so the ability to get along as part of a group is key.
Existing Reach Truck and/or Forklift license will be an advantage.
Wherever possible a level of multi-skilling would be advantageous.
