HR Advisor, mat cover 12-month FTC, up to GBP36,000 salary + great benefits, central Cambridge, hybrid working
Your new company
I am proud to be working with my well-established client in the education sector in central Cambridge who are looking to appoint an HR Advisor on a 12-month FTC to support their HR team, reporting into the Head of HR.
Your new role
As the HR Advisor, you will work in a small HR team, providing guidance and advice on HR issues, ensuring compliance with current UK employment law. You will be involved in employee relations casework, recruitment, performance management, absence management and long-term sickness absence, flexible working arrangements and parental leave, as well as employee engagement and wellbeing, organisational change around restructuring and redundancies.
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will have gained HR Generalist experience in a similar role, particularly around ER casework and recruitment. You will have ideally gained experience in the public sector, either education or government. You will possess strong communication skills and be able to communicate with a range of people. You will be well-organised and a people-person.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to GBP36,000 for this 12-month FTC, depending on experience. This is a flexible hybrid role with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the central Cambridge office. This role can also be part-time - either 4 days a week or compressed hours over 5.
This role also offers a competitive pension scheme, BUPA cash plan, including Employee Assistance Scheme, health & retail discounts, free lunch and limited free parking.
This is a great opportunity for someone to join a friendly and supportive environment where no two days are the same.
