IPS International Limited is a leading provider of training and consultancy operating across the UK. We deliver a wide range of training programmes at our centres in Rochester and Dover and on our clients' premises.
IPS are also a specialist Apprenticeship training provider and IPS Apprenticeships is the strand of our company that focuses on Apprenticeship training and recruitment.
We are looking to recruit a Business Development Consultant to join our friendly and established Business Development Team.
IPS International has ambitious targets for expanding our Apprenticeship and Traineeship provision, and for building an even wider range of commercial training courses. We are now looking for a talented, self-motivated and performance driven individual to join our Business Development Team, and play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve our funding and commercial targets.
IPS are looking for a motivated, engaging individual who is self-motivated, experienced in meeting KPI targets and is a good negotiator. You will be proactive in obtaining new business and building relationships with employers to then account manage.
Key Responsibilities:
* To effectively target the local employment market using a range of methods including cold calling, mail shots, social media and sales appointments either virtually or face to face.
* To engage, maintain and develop relationships with new & existing employers, offering information, advice and guidance on skills analysis options for the development of employers' company workforce.
* To support employers with recruitment vacancies for Apprenticeships and Traineeships, offering funding information advise.
* To establish business leads and book appointments to meet a minimum requirement per month.
* Complete lead records accurately and timely, keeping detailed records of all calls, referrals and communications to generate monthly reports.
* To keep updated on product and programme development e.g. New Apprenticeship Standards, Funding Rules and ESFA Incentives.
* To attend appropriate networking events and exhibitions that encourages employers and schools to engage with Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
* Work closely with our Traineeship Engagement Team to support progression into Apprenticeships.
* To support our Traineeship Team in learner engagement to fill cohort places.
Essential Skills:
* Car driver with full licence
* Employer Engagement experience, ideally in skills delivery (Apprenticeships or Traineeships)
* Negotiation skills
* Adept sales skills and experience using telephone cold calling, face to face and virtual remote meetings
* Employer Engagement and Account Management
Desired Skills:
* Experience with Traineeships
* Knowledge of local employability organisations
* Knowledge of local employers and job market
