POS Device Tester - Retail
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services requires POS Device Testers based at their client's offices in Leeds.
You may be able to work some days remotely.
This is a 3-Year temporary contract (6-month rolling) to start ASAP.
Day rate: Competitive market rate
We are looking for POS Device Testers with previous experience in retail domain and POS testing along with good hands-on experience on Functional Testing.
Note: The work location would be Leeds. Client is looking for a gradual return to workplace starting 2 days in office / week as associate is required to work perform testing on Physical devices.
Primary Objective
The POS Device Testers will need to perform Functional / POS Testing on Physical devices preferably on NCR products.
Key Responsibilities
This position is a part of a team, below are the Key responsibilities:
Requirements understanding and developing good understanding on Business objectives
Understanding Technical design and all system integrations for assigned projects
Develop functional understanding on each system which is part of assigned project
Test Case writing based on Business requirements
Test Execution as per then assignment
Report execution status timely to test lead
Analyzing and reporting defects in Test Management tool
Work closely with defect Manager to provide defect related inputs
Customer communication for test execution and defect related update
Identify all Business-critical defects as early as possible
Key Skills
Strong knowledge and understanding on SDLC and STLC
Good hands-on experience on Functional testing
Knowledge on testing methodologies
Experience in Retail domain - POS testing
Good Analytical ability
Ability to work with external and internal customers to ensure quality of work, professionalism, and customer satisfaction
Flexible in terms of work environment and tasks undertaken
Mobile; comfortable with multiple client engagements and travel
Experience on test management tool (ALM/JIRA)
Good Understanding on defect lifecycle

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at senior levels
Good attention to detail and detailed tasks
Collaboration between onsite and offshore team
