SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Are you a supportive and dedicated teaching assistant?

A SEND Teaching Assistant is required for long term supply cover in a lovely Primary school in Northfield, starting in September 2022. The school caters for students aged 5-11 and although the school is a mainstream Primary School, they have an SEND base on site for children who have Special Educational Needs, including Autisum and Learning Difficulties.

The successful TA will be required to work 1:1 with a child in Year 3 presenting Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role requires someone who is confident in difusing challenging situations, managing emotions and helping the student to access the learning at his level.

The successful TA will need to have a calm and caring nature, patience and the ability to build a positive and nurturing relationship with the students in their care.

The ideal SEND Teacher will have:

Experience working with SEN children
A positive approach
The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils.
Fantastic behaviour management.
