Have you previously worked in a mental health, support worker or youth work and are looking for a school based role supporting young people with mental health challenges then this may be the ideal role for you.

Simply Education are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school on the outskirts of Chester. The school are looking for a personable and professional applicant to join the team for the new academic year in September.

The role will involve a mixture of 1-1 and small group support in the classroom working with the teacher to help ensure students can access the activities set out for them. The current team are passionate about teaching student relevant life skills that they can use outside of the classroom and when they leave school, the focus is more on providing a safe learning environment where students are comfortable and can work with others without feeling pressured or forced.

Those school are wanting someone who can establish strong relationships with young people, and act as a role model for the students.
