My client is a well-respected manufacturer, based in Bristol. They predominately work within the Aerospace sector and are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join the team.
Duties:
Evaluating aero engine components to tight tolerances
Ensure no product non-conformity escapes to customers
Accurate and appropriate measurement of product features to determine conformance/non-conformance to drawing/model
Improvement of the inspection processes to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
Adheres to the requirements of the company Health & Safety Policies & Management System
Conducting inspection processes to meet Customer & internal requirements
Conducting measurements of products/ tooling and fixtures as required
Reporting measurement outputs included for FAIR and improvement activities
Calibration of measurement devices traceable to national standards
Responsible for general housekeeping within their area
Requirements:
A wide knowledge and experience of using manual inspection equipment
Some knowledge of CMM's using Aberlink and PC Dmis would be an advantage
Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using GD&T
Working knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100
Basic computer skills
Recognised apprenticeship and / or relevant engineering background
Motivated individual, capable of using initiative and being a team player
Flexible and open to learn, give and receive feedback to improve & grow
On Offer:
GBP25k - GBP35k (DOE) + Overtime
Mon - Thu 7.30am - 4pm
Early Friday Finish 7.30am - 12.30pm
