Midweight / Senior UX Digital Designer - Guildford, Surrey
Salary DOE plus benefits
The Midweight / Senior UX Designer will be based in our client's Guildford office and will be required to travel to the London office and to client meetings from time to time.
Permanent and Contract roles available currently.
We have a new opening for a UX Designer to join a creative agency based in Guildford. The UX Designer should have solid creative agency experience - ideally across some of their key client sectors - Financial Services, Technology, FMCG and Travel.
Job Description
The UX Designer will join our client's growing team of designers, developers and marketing professionals who ensure their brand-led solutions deliver on style, functionality and results.
The UX Designer will carry out the following duties:
Produce original and relevant creative ideas
Support the overall creative output in the studio
Create Sitemaps / Wireframing based on client discovery meetings
Create engaging digital design for web based on discovery and wireframing activities (Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator) and email / digital advertising campaign assets
Collaborate with development teams on prototypes / designs bringing them into live products, you will be absolutely essentially in continuing the inspiring work currently being produced by their talented studio.
In short, it will be your inspiration, flair and creative drive that helps deliver highly innovative and relevant design solutions.
The UX Designer will have the following:
You could be a Senior / Midweight UI/UX Designer, UI UX Designer, User Interface Designer, User Experience Designer, UI Designer, Information Architect, UX Designer or similar, our client doesn't mind, you just need a CV that can demonstrate:
Solid creative agency experience - ideally across some of our clients' key sectors - Financial Services, Technology, FMCG and Travel
UX, user profiling, user journey flows
Experience with conducting UX research
Wireframing / low-fi prototyping
HTML, CSS, JS knowledge for UI and interaction design (but no expectation to code)
Experience working with component based design and design systems
Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch
Responsive website design principles and principles
Email design
Animated Digital Advertising/Social media banners
Usability best practice
Understanding of web standards and accessibility guidelines
Understanding of Google Analytics and user tracking tools
Ability to work with web development teams to liaise with handovers and ensuring design is brought to life as intended
WordPress/Other CMS knowledge (no coding expectation, but ability to use CMS)
Nice to have's:
Email build (Outlook, Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp)
Invision Prototyping
Adobe Illustrator
Motion design (Adobe After Effects)
Microsoft PowerPoint Template Design and build
Mobile app design
Portfolio to demonstrate:
Polished visuals demonstrating UI/UX considerations
User journey profiling and journey flow
Demonstration of web usability considerations
Demonstration of responsive solutions
Engaging email designs
Interactive digital designs
