Location: Blackburn
Salary: GBP23,000 to GBP28,000
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electronics Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment including variable speed drives, PLCs, touch screen HMIs and power supplies.
Diagnose and repair units down to component level.
Working with and without the aid of schematics.
Soldering and reworking components (SMD and thru-hole).
Creating and following test procedures.
Using problem solving skills to find a logical approach to testing and fault finding.
Skills and Qualifications:
Good IT skills.
Able to demonstrate an analytical approach to fault finding.
Good hand soldering skills, using soldering irons and hot air rework stations.
Experience with fault finding and repairing to component level essential.
Minimum 3 years in a similar role repairing industrial or consumer electronic devices.
Experience using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Qualified to at least ONC level or equivalent in electronics/electrical engineering.
Preferred candidates will have experience with industrial automation equipment, including HMI's, PLC's, AC and DC drives.
