Well, known charity is looking for lottery promotors to canvas the local area to help sell and promote the lottery and the product to raise funds. The lottery promotor will also attend local supermarkets and social events.

Job Description:

The Lottery Promotor will increase Lottery participation primarily through door-to-door canvassing activity using a pre-planned list of areas.
Promote all Lottery products by setting up & working at our Lottery promotional stand which is present on a frequent basis at pre-planned venues and supporter led events throughout the local area.
Attend Fundraising events when needed to maximise opportunities for Lottery recruitment and income from additional products e.g., scratch cards
Attend prearranged corporate promotional opportunities. Work as part of a team or on occasions alone to achieve pre-determined targets for the number of Lottery players recruited
The Lottery Promotor will meet with the Head of Lottery on an agreed regular basis to discuss performance results and future canvassing plans and targets
Ensure all data and payment information is handled in a confidential manner and in accordance with data protection policies and gambling commission guidelines
Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, other members of staff and volunteers
Identify and pass on information to the Head of Lottery regarding other suitable opportunities for increasing Lottery participation to ensure that the budget is met at a minimum
Assist with increasing the sales of other lottery products i.e: seasonal raffle tickets, Scratch Cards, and single Lottery tickets
The Lottery Promotor will also need to undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested, such as lottery leaflet placement in local businesses and recruiting more scratch card outlets
If unable to promote face to face in times of restrictions or due to weather or unforeseen circumstances assist with the telephone relations team
Assist with the collection/delivery of Lottery products to participating outlets and shops, when required.
Attend team meetings as and when required Candidate Requirements:

The candidate must be personable and friendly
Previous sales experience would be an advantage
The Lottery Promotor will need to be confident and have excellent communication skills
Good computer skills and an iPad is used Hours: 30 hours per week Monday - Saturday
with an occasional Sunday

Salary: GBP10.50 per hour
