They are seeking an Administrator to offer administrative (and managerial) support to the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice ("COLP") and the wider partnership/firm in all internal and external facing risk and compliance matters.

This is a new role and there is some scope to tailor the role to a person's strengths and/or interests.

Main duties:

* Administration (and management) of complaints made against the firm; including investigating (with the COLP and/or the Complaints Partner) the circumstances giving rise to a complaint, preparing responses to the complainant and any relevant third parties, managing communication with any professional bodies (such as the Legal Ombudsman);

* Administration (and management) of claims made against the firm; including investigating (with the COLP and/or any other Partner) the circumstances giving rise to a claim, preparing and managing PII notifications, managing dealings with third parties concerning claims;

* Preparation of the firm's PII annual renewal; including assisting (or managing) the firm's dealings with brokers and underwriters to obtain the best available premium and cover;

* Managing the Lawnet audit process that takes place during the year;

* Regularly reviewing the firm's policies to ensure they remain current;

* Managing renewal of the Firm's Conveyancing Quality Scheme membership.

* In conjunction with the Compliance Officer for Financial Affairs ("COFA") managing the Firm's Accounting policies and breaches log.

You may have previous experience in a compliance role within a profession or may have general Administrative experience - all will be considered.

If you have an interest in Accountancy, there is scope to include some financial/budgetary work in the role.

This could be a full-time or part-time role. Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 pro rata and dependent upon relevant experience.

This is a great opportunity to join a young, vibrant firm with opportunities to develop and build a role around you
