The Role

Due to our continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician to join our Clinical Operations team. As the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician, you will have accountability of activities within the units Dispensary.

In this role you will work with the Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Medical, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Quality Assurance and Project Management teams to ensure that the appropriate Drug Products are prepared and checked prior to dosing healthy volunteers on clinical trials, whilst meeting regulatory and company standards at all times.

Responsibilities include:

Order, receive, store, dispense and record medication for clinical trials
Maintenance of clinical trial files and all other computer and written records
Temperature and expiry date monitoring
Ordering of clinical trial materialsProduce study specific preparation guides for clinical trials Ensure stock levels maintained appropriately

Reconciliation and destruction of clinical trial materials
Perform ad hoc duties / projects as requiredThe Candidate

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will be a qualified Pharmacy Technician and have relevant experience within either UK hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy or clinical trials unit.

You must be registered with the GPHC and hold NVQ level 3 Pharmacy services or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent. The desired candidate will also have knowledge of legislation relating to Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Clinical Practice.
