Trainee Decontamination Technician - no experience full training
Urgent and immediate start! No experience required! All you will need for this exciting career opportunity role is;
* Able and willing to work the shift pattern role of 3 days on and 3 days off on 12 hour days from 10am-10pm. This is on a 6 week rotating cycle, the core hours are 10am-10pm, therefore you must be willing and want to work the 3 full days of 12 hours from 10am-10pm and then have 3 days off!
* A full UK driving licence to get to Manchester hospital and you must be based a commutable distance on a daily basis
* Immediate role - this role is an interim contract for 3 months until August 2022 but will extend like other contracts have done
* Able to lift and move the hospital equipment (bulky not heavy and on wheels so easily moveable)
* You must have good numeracy and literacy to follow basic instructions and excellent communication skills as will be working closely with hospital staff
Other than that full training will be given to make you a Decontamination Technician with starting salaries at circa GBP22k plus good company benefits.

A motivated trainee decontamination Technician/ Hygiene Room Technician is required for our global medical engineering clients hospital contract based in Manchester to work closely with the hospital bed management team in decontaminating patient's rooms with their specialist hygiene solution equipment machinery. This hands on Hygiene technician role would suit a proactive professional eager to be trained with excellent communication skills and ability to work calmly and closely with the hospital team ensuring the rooms are hygienically sterilised and decontaminated ready for the next patient. This role is based in a hospital in Manchester, you will be employed by my client with salary and benefits but also will enjoy the perks and surroundings based in a hospital healthcare setting. This is a shift pattern role of 3 days on and 3 days off 12 hour days on a 6 week rotating cycle the core hours being 10am-10pm, therefore you must be willing and able to work these hours in this contract interim role. The ideal Decontamination Technician will have the following attributes and skills;

* You must be customer focussed and have a passion for helping people / delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and service. You will be representing the company so must be an effective and influential communicator offering technical advice if needed.
* Able to physically transport, lift and move the specialist decontamination equipment from room to room ( the equipment is not heavy but does require being handled, set up and transported)
* Able and willing to work freely the rolling shift pattern of 3 days on and 3 days off 12 hour days from 10am-10pm on a 6 week rotating cycle for the interim 3 months contract but may extend after August
* Full UK driving licence to get to hospital site
* Happy and willing to be trained up on the room sterilising machinery and equipment ( and ability to read basic instructions on how to operate the machinery)
* Must be vigilant and proactive as you will be required to monitor the equipment in the room whilst it is working and be the technical support for it but also appreciate there maybe lots of waiting around time whilst this is happening so be able to preoccupy yourself whilst being mindful of the hospital surroundings and policies and delivery of customer service. You must be able to work independently and be reliable.
* Any experience of room decontamination, sterilisation, disinfection, hygienically cleaning in a health care setting or similar would be of interest
