Bates & Bradshaw are recruiting on behalf of a large company in the Hull area who operate as one of the leading building, repairs, and maintenance contractors. They are presently employing around 500 people and have a turnover of GBP50m and they have some ambitious plans in place to grow this again over the coming years.
Purposed of the Role
*
This role is to support the Company's business ICT function, deliver innovative and effective solutions and systems, with a view to driving continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
*
This requires being able to independently lead concurrent projects which are diverse in type and size, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, guidelines and targets as well as appropriate use of advancing technologies.
*
A large proportion of the role will be dedicated to the development and use of reports using Microsoft PowerBI.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage specific projects from scoping, design and costing, through to implementation.
* Creation of training documentation and first hand delivery of training and desktop support for the company's ICT users to facilitate the effective and efficient use of resources.
* Negotiate contracts, procure goods and services, and monitor to ensure delivery to expected quality for business and administrative ICT systems.
* Review, maintain and develop the suite of reports accessed by management and staff to ensure validity and accuracy.
* Manage projects including the procurement and management of those sourced to third parties e.g. contractors/consultants to make certain all contractual requirements are delivered to specification.
* Be able to manage all aspects of the IT Infrastructure, hardware, networking equipment, e-mail and telecoms, including a hands-on approach to user support, set-ups and modifications.
* Database administration for both Oracle and Microsoft.
Essential Skills
* Microsoft PowerBI - use of gateways and integrations, building and managing data models and developing and implementing reports using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
* Office 365 administration, authentication, ADFS, domains and security certification.
* Accessing Relational Databases using SQL - Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Microsoft SQL.
Desirable Skills
* Microsoft Power Automate design and implementation.
* Therefore Document Management workflow automation and forms development.
* Creation of Excel reports using macros, database integration via ODBC Data Sources, VBA, Power Query.
* Exclaimer Email signature design.
* Oracle Forms/Reports design & development.
* Project management experience and use of appropriate tools, e.g. MS Project.
* Database monitoring tools such as Quest Central or Oracle Enterprise Manager.
* Analysing and reviewing, documentation, structure of business solutions to facilitate improvement and business continuity.
* Researching, analysing, evaluating and applying new techniques
