AGRICULTURE AND RURAL AFFAIRS LEGAL SECRETARY

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: up to 24k

My client is a leading and long-established law firm based in the heart of the Somerset countryside with a client list you would expect to see in the centre of a big city.

I am looking for an experienced Legal Secretary for their busy Agriculture and rural affairs department who can deal with all the customary administration duties including the preparation of letters, emails and legal documents taken from our digital transcript system.

This important business role provides administration support and services to our legal team which then enables them to focus on serving our clients.

You will:

Support fee earners with daily administrative tasks, including typing correspondence and preparing documents.

Manage your own workflow from dictation and prepare/proofread documents independently as required.

Assist with processing and submitting land registry forms, requesting property searches and drafting basic Stamp Duty Land Tax returns.

Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and a quick and accurate typing speed.

Be comfortable acting as a point of contact for prospective and existing clients.

About you:

You will be confident in your ability to support fee earners and approach your work with a pro-active and organised style.

You know how to maintain focus and accuracy, even when completing routine tasks and you have a proven track record of delivering work to high standard.

You will need to be well-versed in Microsoft Office including the use of track changes, document comparison etc.

You demonstrate excellent communication skills with a clear respect for integrity and confidentiality.
