Position: Technical Officer
Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary Package: GBP30,000 to GBP34,000 per annum
Length of Contract: Permanent
Greenacre Recruitment are Recruiting for a Permanent Technical Officer for a client in Harlow, Essex. The role will provide specialist support and advice in the delivery of planned and routine maintenance and Capital Works contracts and update the Clients 30-year Capital Works Programme as well as managing and monitoring the implementation of the Service Charges (Consultation Requirements) Regulations 2003 to leased Clients properties and the Application for Major and Minor Property Alteration process.
Key Accountabilities
* The role will collate, coordinate and present data quality on performance management information, statistical returns and other data as required, ensuring the Client meets its statutory obligations and that the highest standards and good conduct are always maintained.
* Ensure the Client meets its statutory obligations and that the highest standards of probity and good conduct are maintained always.
* Work collaboratively across the organisation to bring about change and improvements to service delivery within finite resources.
* Assist in tender applications, producing responses and documents, to ensure consistency in quality of submissions and maintain management information systems relevant to all tender processes
* Support the Team Manager Housing Strategy/Quality Assurance in the production and implementation of housing related strategies that support and initiate key service actions.
* Take collective responsibility for ensuring excellent services are provided to our residents.
Person Specification
* Good general education, GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics or equivalent work experience
* Good level of digital intelligence plus Microsoft Word and Excel training to intermediate standard
* Possession of a relevant Housing qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding issues commensurate with the role.
* Knowledge of building components, property construction and maintenance techniques to plan a 30-year Capital Works programme
* Working knowledge of Section 20 of the Service Charges (Consultation Requirements) Regulations 2003 essential in the recovery of Actual leasehold accounts.
* Working knowledge of Planning and Building Control procedures to advise tenants and leaseholders during regularisation of unauthorised property alterations and improvements.
* Experience in providing all aspects of managing, monitoring, delivering and improving the Health and Safety standards in all Client owned and managed property.
* A working knowledge of current Health and Safety Regulations relevant to all property types. Experience of producing Health and Safety Reports and documents as required.
* Evidence of successfully delivering service improvements.
