Our Client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team on a permanent full-time basis (office based).
Location: Near Gillingham, Kent
Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP28,000 pa - annual KPI/PR bonus
Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday
9am to 3pm on Friday
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + BH + annual bonus
The Supply Chain Coordinator will ideally have experience of dealing with retailers: High Street and online and use SAP or similar package.
This role would suit candidates with experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain management with a general understanding of production planning principles, theories & concepts or purchasing.
Main duties/responsibilities of the Supply Chain Coordinator:
* Be responsible for planning, coordination and control of the production process for specified customers, escalating any concerns to Line Manager.
* Manage production schedules to establish lead times of each operation to meet customer orders.
* Challenge and calculate the human and material resources needed, estimate costs for forward planning.
* Ensure that UK production (packing) is cost effective and identify savings where possible.
* Monitor the production processes, suggest improvements and adjust schedules as needed to ensure customer expectations are met.
* Maintain inventory of materials needed to complete production, get regular updates from colleagues on UK and Far East supplier production to ensure up to date information to plan efficient UK production, highlight timing issues to colleagues around the business where necessary.
* Manage the FE Critical path. Chase FE suppliers for delivery dates, monitor production to ensure shipping dates are met, highlight & address issues and delays and work with colleagues to resolve them.
* Resolve issues relating to planning conflicts and issues.
* Raise purchase orders and delivery notes; update goods-in and finished goods information.
* Book in deliveries with customers and hauliers.
* Liaise with customers regarding availability, managing customer expectations and providing the best possible customer service.
Qualifications & experience required:
Essential
* GCSE minimum C grade in English & Maths with strong numerical skills
* Customer service experience, ideally within a production / supply / distribution environment
* Experience of office procedures & computerised systems with accurate & fast data inputting skills
* UK driving licence & authorisation to work in the UK
