Position: Senior Data Cabling Engineer
Salary: GBP26,000- GBP34,000 per year, depending on experience
Benefits: Overtime during the week and weekends, pension & Private healthcare
Hours: Full time - 42.5 hours per week
Location: Milton Keynes, MK15
Formed in 2008 our client provides professional IT services throughout all commercial markets sectors. With extensive experience of many types of installation across a wide variety of environments, our client is a recognized innovator and market-leader in the structured cabling arena. They are currently extremely busy delivering projects and therefore have the opportunity to expand their Engineering Department. They are currently looking for Data Cabling Engineers to join the team in Milton Keynes; MK15.
The Role:
Installing cables
Testing and terminating cables
Patching systems
Solving issues related to cables and networks
Fault finding
Basic network set-up
Skills and Experience Required:
Having hardworking methods
Being self-motivated
Having competent written and spoken communication abilities
Being proactive and have good communication skills
Being flexible and creative
Being able to prioritise effectively
Having teamwork abilities
Having attention for details
Having competent math skills
Being able to stay calm under pressure
PC skills
Networking knowledge - not essential but beneficial
Be able to install, terminate and test:
Cat5e
Cat6
Cat6a - not essential but beneficial
Multimode fibre optical cable
Single mode fibre optical cable
Blown fibre - not essential but beneficial
All positions will be offered on a permanent basis.
