The 'calibration Technician' will be responsible for measuring and recording instruments, apparatus and equipment used within the Instrument Solutions laboratory. In addition to this, instrument fault analysis and other minor repairs.
The ideal candidate for this position, will have knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO 17025 and a strong understanding of Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
'Calibration Technician' key responsibilities include:
• Testing, calibrations and maintenance of hire equipment and instruments.
• The production of calibration and test certificates.
• Instrument fault diagnosis and some minor repairs.
• Liaising with clients and advising them on instrument use or repairs.
• Assisting the internal sales desk to deal with technical queries.
'Calibration Technician' skills and experience required:
• Previous exposure and knowledge of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
• A BTEC level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• A good communicator-both written and verbal
• PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft software packages.
• Ability to work unsupervised to meet deadlines
