Do you enjoy working on individual bespoke house designs?
Are you an experienced Architectural Technician with good knowledge of England and Wales Building Regulations?
Can you provide quality work unsupervised?
Are you able to provide a strong communication link with customers and potential customers?
Architectural Technician required for an award-winning Timber Frame Manufacturer, to be based at home with regular meetings with your manager and colleagues, both virtual and in the office.

As Architectural Technician, you will be:

Working very closely with your sales/business development colleagues, preparing sketches and designs (either variations of standard designs or new bespoke designs)
Liaising directly with self-build customers to ensure a full understanding of needs, providing advice where needed
Taking clients' design briefs, interpreting and producing designs in line with their requirements
Managing your project pipeline, and liaising with your sales colleagues, agreeing priorities for workload
Working closely with other functions in order to provide a seamless service to customers
Are you:

Experienced in designing houses using CAD software
Possessing good knowledge of current Building Regulations in England & Wales
Familiar with thermal design requirements
Prepared to be involved in submitting planning applications and preparing warrant drawings
Confident in your strong communication skills with a "can-do" attitude
Able to prioritise and manage your workload, working to tight deadlines
Able to take technical language and translate into "layman's" terms
Strong in your literacy and numeracy skills
As Architectural Technician you will be part of a team comprising your Manager and two Subcontractors, so you will need to be able to manage your own time as mentioned above. This may extend as the role progresses.
