Ibstock Manufacturing Management Trainee - Clay Division

The role
The successful applicant will be a key member of the Operational team at the factory, supporting with compliance to our Quality, Energy and Environmental management systems.
Key responsibilities whilst training will include:
Sampling/ testing, and analysis of all raw materials and finished product
Carry out quality, environmental and energy measurements / checks
Collation, processing and analysing key performance data across the manufacturing process
Assist in the development of Safe Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
Analysing complaints from our customers
Upon successful completion of the programme you will move into a Management role with responsibility for leading, motivating and developing a multi-functional team to optimise the performance of the factory, thereby exceeding customer expectations.
The candidate
Are you practical and willing to be hands-on, with drive and passion to gain real-life experience with a market leading manufacturer and earn money whilst you do so?
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English and a Science, plus "A" levels in Mathematics and a Science or Scientific discipline. A full UK driving licence is advantageous, with the flexibility to travel across the country if required.
The programme
Our four-year Clay Manufacturing Management Trainee Scheme has been designed to ensure you develop all the necessary skills you will need to provide you with a secure platform from which to launch your Ibstock career.
During the programme you will be provided with a wealth of learning and development opportunities whilst gaining a Materials Science Technologist Apprenticeship - level 6 including a degree in Materials. Working alongside experienced professionals you will also complete a series of technical modules within various departments and locations across the company.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
South Holmwood Factory, Dorking, RH5 4QE
Cattybrook Factory, Bristol, BS32 4BX
Lodge Lane, Cannock, WS11 0LT
Salary: GBP15,500 per annum with performance based increases throughout the programme
Planned start date: September 2022
