Production Technician
Location - Wellington
Monday - Friday (38 hour working week)
Salary - GBP24,000 - GBP28,000
25 days holiday + bank holidays + Full product training provided
My client are a world renowned manufacturer of electrical testing systems and equipment typically used in the Rail, Aerospace, Defense and Subsea industries. The main function of these testing systems is to confirm that all wiring is correctly wired and remains undamaged within products.
As a Production Technician you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of different production work which will include, wiring, mechanical assembly, testing and repairs on a range of different products that the client produces. Ideally the candidate will have experience working within the electronics industry and have experience of building wiring harnesses.
Main Duties and skills as a Production Technician:
Manufacture, assemble and testing of electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Soldering of electrical control boards and wiring harnesses.
Assembling and crimping of wiring harnesses.
Fault finding and repair of electrical and related systems.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment reporting failures to the Production Lead.
Ensure all tools and equipment is within calibration date and specification.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and processes.
Maintain clean work areas to maintain efficiency and safety
