Learning & Development Administrator
SalaryGBP18,525 + excellent benefits
LocationLeicester
This is a permanent, full time vacancy.
The role
Are you an exceptional Administrator? Interested in a career within Learning & Development? Keen to join a progressive, growing company?
We have just the thing!...
If you decide that this role is for you, you'll be joining the UK's largest group of property services and one where, if you have the right drive and aspirations, you can take your career as far as you like.
Simplify has grown at a fast pace, something which is set to continue. As a result, this opportunity offers true job security in a forward-thinking business where there will be opportunities to develop your skillset and enhance your career.
What will you do?
This role is all about ensuring the smooth running and effectiveness of the Learning & Development function.
Known internally as a People Co-ordinator, this role is one of the most important and respected within the People team.
You will work closely with our Trainers, organising training sessions, sending invitations and monitoring responses, managing attendance sheets, updating training records, and booking and setting up training rooms and venues.
You will become an expert user of our L&D system, helping to administer access to the portal as well as ensuring its security with password control, and working closely with our HR and IT functions to ensure new starters are allocated to the right inductions and set up correctly for their first day.
Whilst this role will be based from Leicester, once fully trained there will be some flexibility to work from home occasionally at the discretion of your manager.
You will however need a full driving licence and unrestricted access to a car as you will be required to support our Trainers on-site occasionally, with our offices located across the UK.
"What's in it for me?" I hear you ask???
Well, for starters, as part of this role you'll be joining a friendly and supportive team, one that is ambitious and successful. As you're joining such a secure and large business, you'll be able to progress and work your way up in whatever capacity you choose, and we will do what we can to help you there. In addition to this, you'll have access to all the corporate benefits you would expect from a company like ours:
* 25 days holiday, plus 8 days public holiday and after 1 year of service you will receive an additional 1 day added to your annual holiday entitlement
* Option to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday per year
* Pension
* Life Assurance x4
* Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
* Free conveyancing legals
* Discounted Gym Membership
* Retail discounts
* Health cash plan
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
* Supported personal development and career progression
We will need a few things from you???
We need someone who can work well independently and keep themselves motivated with minimal supervision.
You will need to be proactive, flexible and engaged, able to make decisions and take responsibility for your own workload and that of the team you are supporting.
You will be a clear communicator, in writing, and verbally, and a confident presenter, able to assist with training sessions when required both in person and virtually.
This position does not require a background in Learning & Development, (although if you have that's great!) but you will need to be a confident, fast, and accurate Administrator as a lack of attention to detail would cause chaos in this role.
We do not require specific qualifications, but a solid general education including GCSE's in English and Maths, will be necessary. A solid grasp of IT to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, as well as experience using databases, spreadsheets and compiling reports is essential and will be tested.
What do we stand for here?
Our values are vital to our organisation and reflect our employees, they chose them after all! We would expect you to share an affinity with them as well:
* INSPIRE - leading by example and showing what excellence looks like to colleague and customers alike.
* INNOVATE - challenging the ways of working and business norms to advance Simplify and the people around you.
* CARE - Deliver the best service possible to those you interact with and understand the impact your work has on the people within simplify.
