Manufacturing Operator - Aberdeen - GBP9.80 per hour, Full time - Permanent role. Benefits include 33 days holiday, Life Insurance, Onsite Parking, Employee Assistance Programme, Shift Allowance, and Company Pension Contributions.

Not one day is the same when working as a Manufacturing Operator, each day you have a variety of parts allowing for the creativity to flow. Based in the Aberdeen workshop, reporting to the Shift Team Leader the positions main responsibilities are preparing materials, equipment and producing quality parts liaising with other departments to make sure targets are met.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Preparation and control of raw materials ensuring that the correct raw material is used, checking against the job specification and job traveller.
* Control raw materials used and ensure that they are identified, stored, and handled in the appropriate manner.
* Carry out safety checks and record on machine safety checklist.
* Run press to match at the very least the minimum target production rate.
* Fill in control charts where applicable recording production/reject levels and control limits hourly.
* Visually inspect raw materials for obvious contamination and to identify and report any suspect batches
* Prepare for moulding, reading all sections of the job specification and familiarise yourself with the product being made, the quality standard and output target.
* Familiarization with our clients health and safety policies and procedures
* Ensure appropriate PPE is always worn
* Create a safe working environment with good housekeeping standards working safely and efficiently.
* Co-operate fully on all health and safety related matters
* Being responsible for taking reasonable care of their own and others health and safety.
* Reporting all health, safety and environmental incidents that have led or may lead to injury or damage.
* Refrain from interfering with any equipment or machinery on site.

* Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desired.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S) advantageous
* Previous manual handling experience
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Desire to learn
* Attention to detail and communication skills
