The Strategy Consultant will support brands and organisations in the education sector to best reach and engage with relevant audiences and partners in China and East Asia including with students and universities and with other academic and institution partners.  


Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

•    Advise and consult on strategy and insight projects related to the higher education sector with the aim of growing or creating audience and partner value in China and East Asia, both independently and in collaboration with the Company Director depending on composition of the project 
•    Manage and lead consulting projects, including both client and stakeholder management and ensure that the requirements of clients seeking advice are met
•    Work with the Company Director, as well as independently, to prospect, qualify and develop new consulting business where related to the higher education and academic sector and take a lead role in growing and developing the higher education and academic consulting service of the business
•    Conduct all market and sector specific primary and secondary research that is required or beneficial for the delivery of client projects and analyse collected information and insights 
•    Develop and formulate strategic recommendations for clients based on research conducted
•    Develop and lead workshops, seminars and interactive sessions with clients or other participants in the education sector to determine the most relevant ways to communicate messages and engage relevant audiences and partners in China and East Asia, from students to universities and other academic and institution partners
•    Develop and lead presentations to present research findings and related strategic recommendations to clients 
•    Keep up to date on news, trends, and notable developments in the higher education sector in both the UK and the growth market of China

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed:

•    5+ years professional experience consulting on higher education projects or working in the higher education sector internationally including with the China market
•    In-depth knowledge of international higher education institutions, processes and relevant bodies to be able to advise clients on consulting topics related to higher education and to effectively develop partnerships and relationships in the industry
•    Fluent or native Mandarin Chinese and fluent or native English language skills
•    Excellent proven qualitative and quantitative research skills and experience
•    Highly experienced in developing and leading interactive advice sessions
•    High-level administrative and management experience, including stakeholder management (both client stakeholders as well as contractors of Silk Agency Ltd)
•    Excellent project management and presentation skills
