Estimator
Cradley Heath
Hours: 8am - 5pm - Monday to Thursday / 8am - 4.30pm Friday
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 per annum
Our UK wide client currently has an opportunity for an Estimator to join their ever-expanding site in Cradley Heath. As an Estimator, your main objective will include reading drawings and quoting estimates and liaising with other departments.
Your main duties will include:
* Review and understand customer requirements
* Understand engineering drawings
* Print off Drawings
* Take off quantities
* Generate Product list on Excel/by hand
* Calculate Blank sizes and quantities
* Calculate Material Usage
* Request subcontractor quotes
* Draft written quotations based on a template
* All quotes to be checked and approved prior to sending
* Review quotations generated
* General office duties
Candidate Requirements:
* Understanding of manufacturing processes
* Able to read architectural and technical drawings
* Computer literate (Outlook, Excel and Word)
* Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage
* Good communication skills
* Good verbal and written skills
* Working on own initiative
Hours of work:
* Shifts: 08:00 - 17:00 / Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 - Friday
* Rate of pay: GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 per annum
