Our University of Surrey International Study Centre, in Guildford, is based in the heart of a beautiful campus that is extremely picturesque with a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The centre offers an International Foundation Programme, a Pre-Masters programme, and English language preparation courses. There are a variety of pathways offered on a range of subject areas on both programmes as well as a variety of students from all across the globe.
This is an exciting job opportunity where you'll join the Management Team as a Management Tutor. You will be teaching both large classes and small seminars of international students studying on our Level 6 Pre-Masters Programme. For this academic year we are employing a blended learning approach, meaning that you will be expected to deliver sessions both on campus and online via Zoom. You will also be required to interact with students via our VLE and therefore will need to be confident using technology. You'll have the opportunity to work in an autonomous environment where student-centred, innovative lessons are encouraged.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You'll have the chance to deliver engaging lessons to students on our Management, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism pathway. There will be 16 hours of teaching per week, with 8-10 hours of VLE development and asynchronous activity. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of materials and formative assessment across the modules you will deliver.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
* You will be a student-centred Tutor, with experience teaching relevant modules to a minimum of Level 6 (Essential)
* You'll need a Degree in a relevant subject area
* A teaching qualification is desirable
