Support Workers at Salutem support people like Mark, Matty and Sue and Ursula to overcome any personal challenges each day so they can achieve outstanding outcomes. Individuals in our Salutem family may have disabilities or require complex care, but that doesn't stop them from having fun, laughing hard and loving life.
You will be both the driver for a maximum of 5 individual's along with undertaking a support worker role on a part-time contract.
Driver role
To provide a friendly, person-centred, efficient and effective transport service for customers and their support workers Monday - Friday am/pm (Tuesday's off). You will be the first point of contact for customers and their families/carers in the morning and the last point of contact in the afternoon, therefore we are looking for a reliable and trustworthy person to be that face each day.
Support Worker Role
Cornwall Day Opportunities, provides support to adults with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities and complex health needs within our day service setting. We are open Monday to Friday offer transport to and from the day service and to facilitate the individuals we support to access the community. We aim to provide the individuals we support with the opportunities and support needed for them to lead a fulfilling lifestyle by offering a range of services which are tailored to their needs. Where identified, support individuals may be required to support with personal care needs, whilst ensuring that their dignity is preserved
Carry out moving and handling of people to include pushing wheelchairs, using hoists, slings, handling belts, changing beds, shower trolley, slide sheet and any other equipment necessary for the individuals we support. Full training will be given and reviewed regularly
Each day will be different, and the main focus of your role is to provide daily support.
