This is an exciting opportunity to lead our long established supported accommodation based support service for women who are, or at risk of being made homeless in central Norwich.

As an experienced manager you will lead on the delivery of a strengths based support service, ensuring our customers are at the center of all that we do. You will inspire innovation and best practice within services to help support our customer’s positive journeys to settled housing and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead on the delivery of a strengths-based support service placing our customers at the centre of all that we do
  • To promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement through robust quality assurance and reflective practice
  • To deliver a robust housing management service, maximising income, and good budgetary control
  • To lead on the delivery of a safe environment that adheres to all health and safety legislation and embeds safe processes and policies
  • To lead on local collaboration within the local area and ensure the widest partnership to enhance and support service delivery
  • To inspire and motivate the team through robust support and coaching, reflective practice, training, and development

About you

You will have excellent communication, leadership skills and be a natural problem solver able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of housing management and the experiences and challenges faced by single homeless people.

Our ideal Service Manager will have:

  • Proven record of leadership and developing and supporting a team.
  • Proven working experience of homelessness sector, housing related services or working alongside vulnerable customers.
  • Proven life experience that supports this role and brings expert knowledge to our service delivery.
  • Proven record of being able to juggle and prioritise workloads and react to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with others inside and outside own area.
  • Managing budgets and housing management.
  • Proven record of managing volunteers, is desirable.

Due to the nature of this role a driving licence is required
