Casual Front of House Duty Manager

The RNCM (Royal Northern College of Music) is a leading international conservatoire specialising in learning programmes of the highest quality. These are delivered by internationally renowned teachers and underpinned by a unique artistic programme of performances. Throughout the year its state of the art venue and concert facilities play host to a multitude of unique and inspiring acts and artists.

We are seeking hardworking, professional customer focused people to work casually as Front of House Duty Managers.

Reporting to the House Facilities Manager, duties will include supervising the FOH staff, overseeing the smooth running of all events assigned to, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining an excellent customer experience, being proactive responding to customer needs, providing critical support in the event of an evacuation, and ensuring the highest levels of venue professionalism are delivered.

Casual working arrangements (under which there is no enforceable obligation to either provide or do work) give flexibility and so are mutually beneficial for both the College and individuals. The College requires casual workers and it is therefore entering into this agreement to record the terms on which a casual work relationship is entered into.

Shifts times and hours of work are varied depending on upcoming performances. However, the majority of shifts will be during weekend.

Experience in a similar Front of House role is desirable but not essential. However, a previous role within a customer service environment alongside a proactive and positive attitude is required.
