QA Supervisor
The JFR Group are recruiting for an experienced QA Supervisor to join this exciting and growing SME in Leicestershire.
Role:
Working along side the Technical Manager, you will be a instrumental in the daily Technical and Hygiene supervision of the manufacturing and warehousing facility You will develop a food safety and quality culture across the business, to guarantee customer expectations are met and that the business is fully compliant.
Key Accountabilities:
• Provide practical support to promote a Quality Assurance/Food Safety Culture/Hygiene
Ensure the operational process and production of finished goods are appropriately controlled, via HACCP, to ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards. Generation and control of all factory system paperwork and the continual improvement of this.
• Internal auditing of BRC accredited systems
• Completion of the scheduled audits on time and assisting closure of any non-conformances
• Ensuring supplier documents are up to date
• Raising and investigation of non-conformances
• Maintaining supplier and product/ingredients/packaging approvals
• Ensuring microbiological testing program is up to date
• Completing product specifications for new/amended products nutritional, labelling etc
• Logging, investigation and closing customer complaints
• Assist with on-site training
Deputise for Technical Managers when applicable; to include BRC and third party audits (in absence of Technical Compliance Manager)
Ensure site hygiene best practices are always adhered to
Skills and Qualifications
• Experience from a quality/technical based role within food manufacturing
• Knowledge of HACCP and factory QMS gained through similar role in the food industry
• Thorough understanding of BRC and other associated auditing practices
• Experience implementing Hygiene and cleaning SOPS and best practice
