AD Energy have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer with one of our clients within the growing Anaeronic Digestion industry.
Electrical Project Engineer duties:
In conjunction with the Project Engineering Leader & Engineering Director manage the design of HV and LV electrical systems. Utilise input from internal and external resources to provide system designs that meet business requirements.
With guidance from the Project Engineering Leader & Senior Project Engineer liaise with the Operations team when scoping new projects to ensure that all design information is provided in line with project budgets/timescales, promoting innovation & compliance - to ensure no surprises.
Ensure implementation of sound tender strategies when appointing external suppliers/contractors.
In conjunction with the Project Engineering Leader manage tender submissions for all subcontract/ supplier & plant and materials purchase aspects of a project ensure procurement targets for the project are achieved
Implement & achieve all project targets for which you are responsible by utilising operational & support resources at the appropriate time.
Incorporate the most up-to-date cost forecast & advise of any potential movement in the anticipated costs. Monitor the change order & variation process. In conjunction with the Project Engineering Leader, Project Manager and Finance Team implement the commercial strategy for the project.
Ensure an appropriate skill base exists from supplier base to deliver the project effectively & manage and motivate the site team.
With the Project Engineering Leader develop & regularly review project progress from inception to handover to the Operations Team. Develop plans to overcome any stresses. With the Project Engineering Leader, develop and maintain a specific project risk register to give early warning & to highlight risks & implement corrective plans for mitigation.
Monitor the achievement of KPIs & liaise with our supply chain's senior managers & business owners to mitigate issues & improve performance.
Promote a positive safety culture & ensure the project complies with all appropriate Safety Health & Environmental requirements & fulfil your individual responsibilities. With the relevant Site H&S Coach/Advisor or Site HSE Manager and Safety Leader prepare project specific Environmental, Health & Safety Plan for the project & undertake its enforcement.
Project handover - Verify that commissioning progress & all the appropriate tests have been witnessed by the relevant parties. Ensure the draft O&M manuals are issued prior to handover & As Fitted drawings (or final construction drawings) have been completed & issued. Clear all remaining items & achieve zero defects at handover

• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own transport this role in the Projects Engineering Team means that you could be assigned to any of our sites in Scotland during a project build (and as we expand, outside of Scotland) so a willingness to travel frequently for work is essential. Qualifications: Essential Degree in Electrical Engineering A Level/ Baccalaureate /Scottish Highers - including Math's; Chemistry; Physics Desirable Masters in Electrical Engineering Ideally experienced in renewable electricity generation
