Owing to continued successful growth, a leading developer of instrumentation for the Photonics sector is now looking for an additional Electronics Engineer to join their Engineering Team in Cambs.
You will be involved in the development of a wide range of electronics control systems related to precision automated motion control and position feedback for deployment in the photonics sector.
You will design new and also improve existing designs for the precision motion control products.
You will produce detailed specifications of new products through extensive testing and characterisation activities.
Working with the Engineering Teams, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors you will discuss and review technical challenges, identifying root cause and solutions to the problems.
You will ensure DFMA and Design for Compliance are implemented in the designs produced.
Ensuring products are manufacturable, and keeping an eye on cost, time constraints you will work with key departments to ensure complete knowledge transfer of products into production.
Qualifications:
As the successful Electronics Engineer you should be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in an Electronics or relevant Engineering discipline, along with experience working in Electronics Engineering and Design.
Experience:
It is essential that you have proven hands-on experience of electronics product design including digital, analogue and embedded software.
Analogue design experience should include low noise, high bandwidth amplify design, closed loop design.
Digital design experience should include servo loop design and modelling, control and data acquisition systems.
Embedded software development in assembler and C.
Experience of PCB Layout design, preferably Altium is preferred, though not essential.

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Passport and Visa will be requested for verification.
