GBP19,305.00 per annum + employee performance bonus

KPI Recruiting are looking to recruit a permanent Production Operative to join our Newcastle Under Lyme based client. This group of companies are one of the UK's leading suppliers of specialist building products. They have an extensive product range, that has been installed on many of the largest construction projects throughout the UK. Through recent growth and an increase in demand for their bespoke products there is an opportunity to join the production team. The company has recently invested in cutting machines at its Newcastle-under-Lyme premises and will continue to expand its capabilities and resources in line with the growth plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Assembly Operative to join the team based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager

Responsibilities:

To comply with health and safety regulations and assist with monitoring health and safety within the unit

Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
Take precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit of components
Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Check output to ensure the highest quality
Keep records of production quantities and time
Maintain equipment in good condition
Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
Assists in repair, construction, maintenance, or other tasks involved in client work orders
Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards and ensures that all deadlines are met.
Inspects and cleans equipment within the unit
Fixes equipment and machinery as necessary
Operates unit machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment as required
Ensures that the unit area is clean, organised, and free of dangerous or hazardous material
Manage the utilisation of tooling, Saw blades, cutters, drills etc
Experience and capabilities required:

Proven experience as an assembler
Good communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Understanding of basic health and safety awareness
