We are looking for a Product Owner with skills and understanding in Network Infrastructure products to join our community of experts in DWP Digital.

In DWP Infrastructure Services we are responsible for managing the Network Services and Products that underpin solutions used by millions of people, and over 100,000 DWP colleagues every day.

You'll work in collaboration with a range of internal and external partners, stakeholders and customers to ensure the operational stability, availability and quality of DWP Networks.

We provide a robust and resilient infrastructure network to colleagues and customers in 850+ sites across the DWP estate through our Wifi, SD-WAN and LAN solutions. That means reliable and flexible access for our users wherever and whenever needed, and the highest levels of security.

You'll use a wide variety of tools to continuously assess Network services within the On-Premise Hosting Data Centres and Secure Digital Exchange (SDX) integration with Cloud Service Providers to provide a secure, resilient service to our users.

Your role:

You'll provide Strategic Direction and roadmap for your product
You'll lead others to an understanding of objectives, activities and time-frames
You'll work with our Senior Product Owner as part of a management team, and collaborate with other Network Services Product Owners, engineers and other Network Services stakeholders
You'll guide the resolution of problems, and find new ways to improve our performance
Provide reports of Service performance, track budgets, manage continual service improvement plans, and own KPIs for your services and solutions.
You'll monitor, manage and help resolve incidents, problems and changes raised by users.
You'll also oversee the management of the risk register for your area, ensuring appropriate reporting and mitigation plans and actions are implemented.

Your skills - you'll need to show us these in your application

Ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleagues across multi-functional teams.
Good experience of effectively communicating at different levels across a range of stakeholders using a variety of methods including digital, written and verbal.
Good experience of interpreting complex and/or technical information and give explanations to colleagues, stakeholders and customers adopting the most appropriate method of communication to simplify and ensure understanding.
Good experience of working under pressure and ensuring actions are completed in a timely manner.
Experience of analysing and interpreting complex data, using sound judgement to recommend considered approaches to improve situations and tasks.
Deliver excellent customer service which balances quality and cost effectiveness.
