Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager, looking for a new exciting new challenge where you can implement a new WMS, develop a team and have a business that actively supports personal development?

I have an exciting opportunity with a client who are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take charge of a site and team of dispatch operatives, implement a new WMS and generally improve overall stock efficiencies and deliverables. My busy client is easily accessed from Preston, Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe & Kendal and are situated in a picturesque countryside location.

This is a forward thinking business and you will be actively developed and supported with both internal and external training. They are just on the back of a record year and have invested heavily back into the business to facilitate steady growth.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Driving & managing project improvement plans.

* Leading the implementation and development of a new WMS.

* Ensure factory is locked and unlocked before and after each day, opening and closing factory alternated with other shopfloor management.

* Ensure labour is allocated to correct works orders picks to ensure an on-time delivery with excellent picking accuracy to the production cells.

* Manage and implement new KPI and raw material and line feed team.

* 5s daily audits with scores being tracked by area.

* Present weekly warehouse information weekly operations meeting to SMT (senior management team)

* Health and safety weekly walkaround for each cell.

* Ensure staff training records are correct and updated.

* Weekly tool box talk.

* Create development/training plans to ensure no skills gaps.

* Annual review of safe systems of work to ensure that all procedures are relevant with correct level of detail.

* Maintenance log to be created with all key equipment being serviced with appropriate timescales.

* Contact appropriate companies in the event of breakdowns and for machine repairs.

* Organise all FLT maintenance plans with SMT sign off ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met

* Carry out weekly cycle counts for raw material

Person Spec:

* Good understanding of Warehouse Management, WMS and Lean/5s principles.

* Strong leader with good interpersonal skills, able to build relationships.

* Will 'roll up sleeves' and 'get stuck in'.

* 100% committed to doing things right.

Experience:

* Experience in manufacturing/assembly/distribution company producing high variety, mid - high volume.

* Driven, Passionate and looking to grow and develop.

My client is looking to pay an attractive salary, that will depend on experience GBP35,000 - GBP40,000. The working hours are 6am-5.00pm Monday-Thursday with 18 days holiday, Annual Bonus, a Contributory Pension scheme and the option to enrol on external courses.
