Production Quality Controller Nights - Fresh Produce

Are you an experienced Quality Controller looking for a new challenge? We are working with one of the UK's leading fresh produce distribution centres, which work with both national and global growers supplying some of the biggest retailers in the UK. Due to huge growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Quality Controller to join their team based near Sittingbourne.The Production Quality Controller will be responsible for:Ensuring all products arriving on site are checked against customer requirements and reported accurately.Ensuring that any temperature abuse or other issues that can seriously affect product quality are immediately reported to the customer.Effectively communicate to customers where necessary.To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to a Key Operative or Production Support Manager.To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of the department as set by the Intake & Ripening Manager and the needs of the business.To maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping through the clean as you go policy.To clearly communicate between all colleagues in your team and your Line Manager in a timely manner.The ideal candidate will have:Quality control experienceFresh produce knowledgeExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environmentGood planning and organisational skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsResults-focusedExcellent Team workingFlexibility in thinking and approachDriving for excellenceCustomer understandingThoroughness/attention to detailAnalytical thinkingThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing business that can offer ongoing training and progression.
