The internal Business Development Manager (BDM) is primarily responsible for achieving both new sales opportunity creation, and sales revenue targets. Sales pipeline is generated through a combination of self-generated pipeline and inbound leads generated through digital marketing efforts.

Prospecting for and qualifying opportunities to sell our product and services to new customers and identifying and qualifying further opportunities to sell our product and services into existing assigned customers is key.
You will be responsible for researching prospects, contacting/calling prospects, leading online demos, completing follow-up sales activities and closing sales. You will also be required to work with the support and onboarding teams to ensure an effective and thorough onboarding process for new customers.

The role is predominantly telephone based with some very occasional customer field visits required.

Key Accountabilities:
• Full pipeline management and forecasting responsibility
• Hitting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
• Self-generation of leads using cold calling, email, and social media
• Qualification and follow-up of inbound leads
• Conducting fact find calls to understand the prospect and their needs/problems/goals
• Running online demos to prospects
• Follow-up activities to support and close sales
• Onboarding new customers and early follow up to maximise retention
• Creating short term and long-term plans and strategies to sell
• Maintaining processes and procedures to track activity
