Bleep360 care are a care service provider, and we are currently seeking experienced support workers to cover placements in and around the West Midlands area. Our clients range from 13-65 years old and can have very challenging behaviours and be highly vulnerable. Some of the additional needs of the clients we work with have, are mental health problems (suicidal, self-harm), learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviours and non-verbal. Due to this you would need the relevant experience and suitable training. Support for our packages are usually 24/7 support, which is based in 12 hour shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Following and understanding the care plan of the adult/child and making changes where necessary.

* Positively managing challenging behaviour- close observations of their mental state to manage the risk to themselves and others. Update care plans to reflect this.

* Working as part of a team and supporting each other as necessary.

* Supporting service user to build and maintain a sense of routine and assist with their daily activities of living.

* Building a therapeutic relationship-building a rapport and sense of trust in order to help the service user manage their anxieties.

* Manage and impose appropriate boundaries for the safety of the service user and others.

* Committed to making a positive impact and looking after the wellbeing of the service user.

Essential Requirements

* Restraint training such as MAPA/PMVA.

* Positive behavioural support trained/experienced (PBS).

* Minimum 6 months experience working with young adults/teenagers in a care setting.

* 2 x satisfactory references.

* Experience with mental health, challenging behaviours, and de-escalation techniques.

* Must be comfortable with administrating medication.

* A clear DBS on the update service or willing to complete one.

Desirable

* NVQ/QFC level 3 in health and social care.

* A caring and sensitive nature, to encourage and motivate the service user to participate in hobbies and activities they enjoy.
