Your experience as an Electrical or Integrated Electrical Engineer, along with your ability to independently complete assigned work and provide professional engineering services, would help you support my client as an Electrical Engineer.
You will have the chance to work for a leading independent centre of engineering design, that provides consultancy and technical services for the defence, security, transport, and energy industries. This is an opportunity to join a team that thrives on tackling complex engineering and programming challenges and blends proficiencies from the broad spectrum of engineering disciplines, to deliver lasting and intelligent solutions. The position based in the Southwest, at the employer's main offices in central Bath. However, the successful applicant will be able to combine remote and office-based working where appropriate.
About the role:
Currently, my client is searching for Electrical Engineers to join their team, assisting the delivery of a broad range of naval engineering projects.
Electrical Engineers who have started their careers in a purely Electrical or Integrated Electrical Engineering discipline, and who are now looking to take their knowledge and expertise to the next level, would be an ideal fit for this role.
Responsibilities will include assisting in the initial design, design changes and modifications.to Electrical Engineering Systems for new marine platforms, life-extension programmes, and in-service solutions. You will also be providing advice on electrical systems and equipment installation within ships, submarines, and other marine platforms. Other aspects of the role include:
Understanding customer requirements through effective communication and providing innovative solutions to complex issues
Management of electrical engineering projects.
Purveying ad-hoc assistance to a wider scope of engineering projects, such as mechanical and marine.About You:
To be suitable for this role, your skills and qualifications will include:
HNC/HND/Foundation Degree or Bachelors/Master's Degree in an Electrical related subject or be able to demonstrate relevant Naval and/or Commercial Marine electrical experience.
Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional body or if not, then a working towards achieving Chartered Engineer status.
Coaching / mentoring less experienced staff, receiving and giving feedback
Flexibility to work on multiple projects across customer sites.It would be beneficial if you also have the following:
The ability to liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
Knowledge of the complex issues involved in the integration of electrical systems and equipment within ships or marine platforms.Overview:
