The School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies are looking to appoint a capable administrator
to join our friendly, inclusive, and supportive team who are committed to the smooth and efficient running of the school.
This is a varied and rewarding role based in the School Management &  Research Office where you will support the delivery of operational processes and administration, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and high levels of service.

This will include responding to a wide range of customer enquiries and providing effective and confident support to our senior managers. Working
closely with two Senior Administrators you will deliver operational processes primarily focused on procurement, facilities and Health and Safety, such as room inspections and arranging for remedial and adhoc building works.

You will assist with equipment purchases and installation and will maintain our asset inventory. In supporting procurement, you will take responsibility for placing orders, maintaining stock levels, and arranging travel and accommodation for students and visitors to the school.

You will need to be an experienced enthusiastic administrator who is an effective team player with the ability to work independently and unsupervised.

You will be good at resolving problems and
answering queries quickly and effectively, always demonstrating a strong customer focus and a proactive can-do approach.

You will need excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
and have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy to deal with competing deadlines. Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office) will be required.

The post is offered on a permanent, full time (36.25 hours per week) contract and will be based at the University Park Campus. Job share arrangements may be considered.
