UTEC Survey are currently looking to add a Graduate Accountant to their team based in either Aberdeen or Livingston on a full time, permanent basis. This role will support hybrid working. The Graduate Accountant will be working within a busy Finance department which will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to gain broad finance experience.

• Posting of Accruals, prepayments and month end entries into Navision finance system
• Prepare Monthly Acteon Reporting packs for assigned entities for review in line with UTEC Group and AGF reporting timetable
• Responsible for the upload of the monthly forecast into TM1 and production of the Acteon forecast packs in line with UTEC Group and AGF reporting timetable
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly VAT returns
• Assist with the annual audit of the business unit legal entities and liaison with auditors throughout the audit process
• Assist with tax accounting and liaise with appointed tax teams ensuring deadlines for local and foreign tax reporting are adhered to
• Match purchase orders to invoices
• Liaise with Project Managers regarding invoice queries
• Distribute AP invoices to management for approval via Navision system
• Post approved AP invoices
• Liaise with external vendors to ensure prompt payment of invoices
• Ensure all financial tasks performed are in accordance with the IMS
• Maintain accurate files to ensure ongoing data integrity and compliance

• Degree level educated in Accounting or Finance is essential
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
• Ability to work independently; strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation as well as collaboratively within a team
• Ability to manage multiple and fast-track priorities with a proactive and positive attitude
