IT Manager

IT Manager Based in Luton - Hybrid Working

You will be the IT Manager for a leading electrical Manufacturer and distributor. A well established leading supplier in the UK electrical wholesale market and has a strong presence in the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Mission:To manage and develop the IT applications of this successful and growing distribution business and provide a leadership role to the IT team reporting to the Business Process Manager

Job Responsibilities

• ERP System - to support and develop the Iptor ERP system including sales and purchase order processing, inventory planning, stock management, warehouse management and system interfaces (EDI, parcel carrier integration, Phocas, document management).
• Project management - to plan and manage IT projects to agreed timescales.
• Team management - to guide and mentor a team of 4 in their IT related roles.
• Microsoft 365 - to support and guide the development of the Microsoft 365 suite including Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office suite and other apps to achieve business requirements.
• Additional core applications - to support and guide the development of the Product Information Management (PIM) system, Phocas sales analysis, Phocas CRM, InfoRouter document management and other applications required to meet business requirements.
• IT infrastructure - to ensure the IT infrastructure and personal devices support business requirements including business continuity.
• Supplier management - to work with key suppliers of IT applications and services to ensure systems and infrastructure meet business requirements.
• Management and communication - to report the status of IT systems and IT projects to the Company and group management and communicate IT matters to the business.

Essential

• Educated to graduate level or a minimum A level or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience of ERP systems.
• Proven track record of project management of IT projects.
• Good knowledge of IT Infrastructures including connectivity, networks and security.
• Ability to work effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a thorough and accurate approach to work.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead the IT team.
• Resourceful and lateral thinking with a creative approach to tasks.
• Drive, ambition and enthusiasm to deliver results and progress within the organisation.

Desirable

• Experience of IBM iSeries including operating system, CL, RPG, Query and SQL.
• Experience of Microsoft 365
• Experience of Iptor ERP system
