We are looking for a Quality Engineer for a company based just outside Cambridge. You will be responsible for all quality aspects on site with a particular focus on supplier quality.
Duties will include:
* Manufacturing process quality
* Non-conforming materials
* Document control
* New product development certification and integration (ISO9001 and ISO13485)
* Regulatory compliance, customer flow downs, contract review, returns management and customer support.
* You should be hands-on with the ability to nurture and train others.
Requirements
* In-depth knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO 13485
* Knowledgeable of EN ISO IEC (phone number removed):2011, ISO14001, ISO45001 and AS9100
* Experience of CMM Programming and Operating
* Confident with excellent interpersonal skills
* Focused, target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
* Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar.
* At least 2-3 years' experience with progressive quality engineering, internal audits, and continuous improvement in an electro-mechanical manufacturing organisation
* In depth knowledge of Circuit Board fabrication and assembly
* Excellent oral and written communications with the ability to multitask
* Experience with managing tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
* Ability to discuss technical problems encountered with customers, engineering, and senior management team both verbally and written
* Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle
* A little travel will be required for this role to visit supplier sites, therefore you must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally if required.
