I am recruiting for a well established client who is recruiting a 3 month temporary experienced Marketing Communications Officer on a 3 month basis with the opportunity for the role to go permanent at the end of the period.
This role entails supporting the delivery of the corporate communications, engagement and marketing strategies and, in doing so, to contribute to the management and enhancement of the council's reputation and the profile of the town.
To act as a business partner through proactively managing a portfolio of internal clients and projects, leading on external and internal communications / marketing campaigns and strategies that align with service and organisational objectives.
To provide proactive, professional and appropriate business focused communication and marketing advice, guidance and support to service managers.
Responsibilities:
• Developing and executing marketing and communications strategies across all channels.• Plan and execute customer focused campaigns to increase engagement and influence stakeholders• Advising and briefing service and project managers on media issues and events.• Acting as a business partner and the key communications contact for specified service and project managers.• Identifying creative ways of ensuring all internal stakeholders are up-to-date with the latest relevant information.• Identifying opportunities to publicise council services, events and initiatives and advising colleagues and elected members on methods to exploit these opportunities.• Working with internal teams to identify business and service challenges and resolve these by creating engaging communications and content.• To ensure that crises are anticipated and identified through vulnerability assessments.• Responding to media enquiries for specified internal clients in an accurate, timely and consistent manner.• Writing and distributing press releases, statements and other 'journalist quality' pieces to publicise council services and activities.• Planning and managing production of other printed or digital publications on request from service managers or the Strategic Communications and Marketing Manager.• Providing reports, analysis and evaluation of communications campaigns and activity for specified internal clients.
