Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council have formed the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. The largest Council Partnership in the country. Since October 2021, the Partnership Councils have been working closely to deliver improved services to the communities in the sub-region and already there have been many positive outcomes.

Over time, it is envisaged that services will become formally shared across the three Councils creating the opportunity for colleagues to be involved in new and innovate areas of work.

Do you have proven experience managing operations and fleet in the Waste Management industry?

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead our Environmental Services Operations in Spalding. You will be responsible for the delivery of key frontline council services to over 40,000 residents in South Holland, including Waste Collections & Fleet Maintenance. You will be a strong leader who can drive forward our team as we face the challenges and opportunities of the Environment Act 2021.

The overall purpose of this role is to provide leadership and management to the operations of South Holland waste and fleet teams, as well as working to support all operations in our Environmental Services department, in order to deliver the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of our services.

South Holland is part of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership and you will benefit from the opportunity to work closely with officers across the partnership to support the successful delivery of services to our residents.

To be successful, we are looking for someone who is:

• Transport Manager CPC Qualified

• A strong Leader with good communication skills

• Has experience of Waste and Fleet Maintenance

• Has good ICT skills & and excellent understanding of budgets
