FOOD TECHNICIAN

Required: July 2022

We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified and highly motivated Food Technician to support the department and to work with groups of students or provide 1:1 support within the classroom and as part of extra-curricular clubs and activities. Duties will include preparation of resources for practical cookery and supporting with demonstrations as well as maintaining stock, equipment and hygiene standards.

The successful candidate will need to enjoy working with young people, supporting them to achieve their best. They must have excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills along with an ability to prioritise tasks. They will also need to be flexible in their approach to a wide range of duties and have an ability to work under pressure. Previous experience of working in a school would be an advantage but is not essential.

36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15 am – 4.30 pm, 41 working weeks.

NJC point 6, salary £18,203 per annum (actual)
