Permanent – 37 hours per week
Here at South Yorkshire Pensions Authority, we are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Communications Officer to provide communications support to our friendly, people-focused teams! We are a growing public sector organisation who run the workplace pension scheme on behalf of a large number of employing organisations, including Local Authorities and other public bodies, educational institutions and a number of charitable organisations.
About the role
You will be responsible for a varied workload, drafting communications to scheme members and employers in the pension fund, as well as external stakeholders and interested members of the public. With good news sense and editorial skills, you’ll be adept at crafting messages both for sensitive and positive stories. You will manage the Authority’s social media presence, creating insightful and engaging campaigns with the view of reaching a range of target audiences.
About you
- Educated to degree level standard, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering communication strategies.
- Experience using web content management systems and social media platforms.
- Experience within financial services would be beneficial.
- Great organisational and analytical skills.
- Strong writing and proof-reading skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
