Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Location: Leicester
Pay rate: GBP10.50 - GBP11.50 DOE
Hours of Work/Shift: Rotating 6.00 am to 2.00 pm/ 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm
Type: Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediately
We are hiring for a Machine Operator on turning machines using Fanuc controls in the heart of Leicester. This is an automotive environment with a fast-paced distribution operation that handles a high volume of customer orders. You will be an integral part of the team helping to provide the best possible bespoke solutions based on the client's needs. We are true investors in our staff, who retain and train each individual. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for variety and has a passion for either Engineering or the automotive sector.
Duties of a Machine Operator:
You will be working as part of the production team and will be responsible for:
Performing production according to the drawing previously agreed with the client
Inspecting the product using specific measurements tools
Performing tool maintenance
Maintaining the CNC Machine, refilling oil, coolant
Keeping workstation tidy
Skills and experience of a Machine Operator:
As a Machine Operator, you need to have experience with:
Reading the drawings
Using Fanuc controls systems
Using measurement tools such as Caliper, Gauges etc.
Automotive fast-paced environment
It would be beneficial to the Machine Operator role if you also had:
Key eye for detail
Access to reliable transport. The client's site is accessible via car, public transport, walking or cycling
Passion for Engineering or the Automotive sector
Hunger to learn
Previous experience using Mori Seiki/Puma or Doosan
